Physiotherapy

As physiotherapists we aim to provide timely and appropriate services to enable our patients to achieve the best possible quality of recovery and optimum independence following injury or illness.

Services provided

Outpatient service 

You will need a referral from your GP or consultant to access this service, which runs clinics at West Suffolk Hospital and at GP surgeries in Bury St Edmunds.

Inpatient service

As an inpatient you may be seen by one of the ward physiotherapists, to help with your recovery. The type and amount of physiotherapy will depend on your condition and any rehabilitation goals you may have.

Physiotherapy is situated at the front of the hospital through the therapies entrance.

Patient information

If you have a walking aid or other equipment item you no longer require, please ensure it is returned as soon as it is no longer needed, as agreed with your physiotherapist.
