Benign gynaecology service

The benign gynaecology service at West Suffolk Hospital is run by a team of consultants and nurses.

We see patients with a range of gynaecological symptoms; these include menstrual disorders (heavy, painful, irregular or absent vaginal bleeding), pelvic pain (including endometriosis), ovarian cysts, menopause, recurrent miscarriage and adolescent gynaecology.  We work closely with the chronic pain team, the radiology department and the colorectal and urology teams.

  • Specialist clinics for menstrual disorders and menopause (accredited by the British Menopause Society)..
  • Medical, interventional and surgical treatments including:
