Construction

We want to embrace the latest innovations and ensure we are using improved and adapted ways of working which meet the needs of the 21st century and beyond in terms of sustainability and efficiency. To do this we plan to use modern methods of construction.

In order to minimise disruption to the existing hospital and road network, the construction compound will be situated on neighbouring fields to the west of the site, with construction access through an appropriate point in the western tree belt.

The potential impact of construction (including traffic generation and roads used) is being considered as part of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) which will support the outline planning application.
