Research and development
Research is essential for developing better treatments and improving healthcare for both adults and children in the NHS. Patients being cared for are already benefitting from past research and will continue to benefit from research that is currently being carried out.
Services provided
Our Trust’s research and development department is responsible for overseeing all the clinical research which takes place within our hospital, to facilitate excellence in clinical research by offering helpful and competent support on all matters of research governance, administration and management.
We manage all areas of research which involve our facilities and staff, ensuring clinical studies and trials can take place. Most importantly, we support our patients, and the management of their data and bodily tissues, throughout the research process and beyond.
