Newsroom

Welcome to our newsroom, where you can find contact details and the latest news from our communications team.

Our communications team looks after media and stakeholder relations, digital communications, and internal communications for West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.

We are the first point of contact for all media enquiries and you can contact us directly for information, filming and interview requests. Please do not contact individual members of staff directly. We will make every effort to answer questions promptly.

Under no circumstances may interviews, filming or photography be carried out on or around trust sites without the prior permission of the communications team.

We reserve the right to decline any media requests that put the welfare of our patients at risk and conflict with patient care, our duty to staff and patient confidentiality or operational requirements

For media enquiries during office hours (Monday to Friday from 9am-5pm) please contact:

01284 712588 or email media@wsh.nhs.uk

For condition checks out of hours please call the switchboard on 01284 713000.

Patient confidentiality

The welfare of our patients is our greatest priority and we have strict confidentiality policies in place.

We will not divulge any information about a patient unless we are given permission from the individual, their guardian or their next of kin. All requests for interviewing/photographing patients must be made through the communications department.

Condition checks

These will be done only if the journalist making the request has the name of the patient concerned and the patient or his/her next of kin gives consent. Please do not phone the wards directly but contact the communications department.
